AJLA HUSIC
Ajla Husic is an Immigration Attorney, specializing in employment based immigration. She is dedicated to immigrant rights and personally understands the challenges that immigrants face in the United States. As a teenager she immigrated to the United States as a refugee.
Before opening her immigration practice, The Law Offices of Ajla Husic, she practiced family-based immigration, asylum and removal defense for a boutique office in San Jose, CA. Ms. Husic graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, CA. During her last year in law school, she was a Judicial Intern at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), in The Hague, Netherlands. During her undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University, she completed her junior year at a study abroad program in Florence, Italy.
She currently serves as the Corresponding Secretary of WLSCC and is an active member of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Santa Cruz County Bar Association (SCCBA) and is currently the President of The Advocates, a section of the SCCBA.
Ms. Husic is multilingual and speaks Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian with native proficiency. Her Italian is somewhat conversational but mostly suitable for conversations with her two puppies.
